This pasta is crafted by Mancini with durum wheat semolina grown on their own family farm in the Marche region. Mezze penne are a shorter version of classic penne rigate — small, diagonally cut tubes with ridges. Their compact size makes them excellent for lighter sauces, vegetable-based dishes, baked casseroles, or pasta salads where smaller bites are preferred. Like all Mancini pasta, they are bronze-die extruded and slow-dried, giving them a porous surface that captures sauce.
