This pasta is handcrafted in Abruzzo, Italy, by Pastificio Giuseppe Cocco using durum wheat semolina, bronze-die extrusion, and slow natural drying. Farfalloni are the oversized version of farfalle (“bow ties” or “butterflies”), with a larger surface area and thicker body. Their pinched center and wide wings make them excellent for creamy sauces, chunky vegetable ragùs, or pasta salads, as they hold sauce in the folds while staying sturdy. As part of the “Special Cut” line, Farfalloni showcase a traditional shape in a bold, generous format.
