This pasta is produced by Pastificio Giuseppe Cocco in Abruzzo, Italy, using traditional bronze-die extrusion and slow air-drying methods. Casereccia (or caserecce) means “homemade style” — short, slightly twisted pasta with a groove down the middle. Its shape is designed to catch and hold sauces, making it excellent for pesto, vegetable-based sauces, or hearty tomato ragùs. As part of the “Special Cut” line, this pasta highlights traditional, less-common regional shapes.
