Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon

A quick and flavorful dish that balances sweet, tangy, and savory — ready in under 25 minutes.

Serves 3

Ingredients

  • 3 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1½ tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or scallions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes, until golden and crisp. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in apple cider vinegar, honey, and soy sauce. Let simmer for 1–2 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  5. Return salmon to the pan, spoon the glaze over the fillets, and simmer another 1–2 minutes, until glossy and coated.
  6. Plate the salmon, drizzle with remaining glaze, and garnish with parsley or scallions.

Tips from the Chefs

  • Serve with steamed jasmine rice, roasted broccoli, or mashed sweet potatoes.
  • For an extra kick, drizzle a little Chili Pepper Oil over the top.
  • Pair with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay.
